as foundations for a lightweight hall (open)
Difficult soil conditions can quickly result in the costs of a construction project exploding, especially where a complex foundation with drilled piles would be required. The foundation with STEEL-ROOT® is a much more cost-effective option. STEEL-ROOT® can also be used for lightweight halls that are to be erected at a certain location for a certain period of time only. They can be vacated again after the useful life. Moreover, it is not necessary to dispose of excavated soil.
Below you can see an installation example of a lightweight hall with the help of STEEL-ROOT® foundations:
We deliver our STEEL-ROOT®-Foundations ...
1.) with a height adjustable flange plate, for placing the support beams or
2.) with a quiver in which the support beams are embedded in concrete.
Periodically excavation of the construction pits (5 meters in this case).
The STEEL-ROOT® foundation can be easily assembled outside the construction pit. Afterwards the STEEL-ROOT® foundations are placed and aligned on the planum — the exact alignment is done by relining the foot plates.
Then the old soil is backfilled and compacted layer by layer. Now only the flange sticks out of the ground.
The hall trusses are bolted to the flange with four commercially available steel screws.
Thanks to the STEEL-ROOT® foundations it is possible to build a lightweight hall within one and a half days. Thus, STEEL-ROOT® foundations are also suitable for temporary buildings. The lightweight hall shown here has the dimensions of 30 x 10 meters (length x width).
