Difficult soil conditions can quickly result in the costs of a construction project exploding, especially where a complex foundation with drilled piles would be required. The foundation with STEEL-ROOT® is a much more cost-effective option. STEEL-ROOT® can also be used for lightweight halls that are to be erected at a certain location for a certain period of time only. They can be vacated again after the useful life. Moreover, it is not necessary to dispose of excavated soil.

We deliver our STEEL-ROOT®-Foundations ...
1.) with a height adjustable flange plate, for placing the support beams or
2.) with a quiver in which the support beams are embedded in concrete.
Periodically excavation of the construction pits. Due to poor soil conditions a stabilization layer of recycled gravel was built addtionally.
The STEEL-ROOT® foundation can be easily assembled outside the construction pit.
Afterwards the STEEL-ROOT® foundations are placed and aligned on the planum — the exact alignment is done by relining the foot plates.
Then the old soil is backfilled and compacted layer by layer.
If three to four STEEL-ROOT® foundations are installed on the opposite sides of the hall you can immediately start to install the hall trusses.
A strong connection between the STEEL-ROOT® foundations and the base points of the steel frame is achieved by a base plate with a connection shoe which is inserted into the standpipe of the STEEL-ROOT® foundation.

Thanks to the STEEL-ROOT® foundations it is possible to build a steel hall within shortest time as well as in less load-bearing soils. The steel hall shown here has the dimensions of 65 x 25 meters (length x width).
