BLOXS – premium mini houses. BLOXS – mobile boutique apartments – offer an attractive way to make building plots temporarily habitable. The foundation on concreteless STEEL-ROOT® is an advantage, because these can be dug up again if necessary and used again at the new location.
Below you can see an installation example of a BLOXS premium mini houses with the help of STEEL-ROOT® foundations:
STEEL-ROOT® consist of galvanized steel struts that absorb the loads in different directions from the center of the mast and transfer them to the surrounding soil via pressure on the one hand and ballasting on the other. They also work in difficult subsoil conditions and poorly stable soils. The mounted carrier plate allows a BLOXS to be attached. Even when installed, it can be adjusted in height by +/- 40mm.
With a mini excavator, a trench with a width and depth of approx. 1 x 1 meter is dug within a very short time. Most of the excavated material is subsequently used for compaction.
After the trench has been drawn, the STEEL-ROOT® are set with their feet in the trench, aligned and the carrier plates are leveled to the predefined height. The cavity around the STEEL-ROOT® is then filled up again with the previously excavated soil and compacted using a plate compactor.
All STEEL-ROOT® are installed after a few hours. Only the carrier plates look out of the ground. Your BLOXS will be placed on these. The number of STEEL-ROOT® to be installed depends on your chosen BLOXS model and the nature of the soil. For our show house we installed a total of 12 STEEL-ROOT® in two rows.
