After the excavation of the construction pit as well as the creation of the planum the fully assembled STEEL-ROOT® foundation can be lifted into the construction pit and aligned afterwards. The exact alignment of the STEEL-ROOT® foundation is done by relining the foot plates.
Now the old soil is backfilled and compacted layer by layer.
The STEEL-ROOT® foundation is immediately loadable at this point. Therefore, via the folding hinge the mast can be connected to the STEEL-ROOT® foundation.
A hydraulic system is used to raise the lightning protection mast.
Afterwards a strong connection between the STEEL-ROOT® foundation and the mast is produced. The folding hinge does not stick out of the ground after the construction pit is entirely closed.
The installation of the lightning protection mast is finished already. On a single day you can install up to three lightning protection masts with STEEL-ROOT® foundations.
